Relapsed Systemic Cryptococcosis 1 Case

Abstract
|
|
|
We experienced a case of systemic Cryptococcosis in 7yrs old boy who was diagnosed by cervical lymph node biopsy, India ink preparation and CSF culture. CT scan demonstrated Hydrocephalus and cryptococcoma,-like lesions in the brain.
Initial combined therapy with Amphotercin B and 5-Fluorocytosine resulted in "almost complete cure".
However, he later experienced 2 times of relapse which ultimately culiminated to death.
